OK, so it is not very often that I let my eight year old skip school but Monday we picked up his work for Tuesday and we were gone bright and early Tuesday morning on our way to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Why you ask, just to get out and enjoy ourselves for once! Travis and I called Lacey up and she came with us as well as my mom and dad. We were all so excited and even temperatures dipping into the negative 12 on Monday night could not stop us. We woke up early Tuesday and packed a lunch and all the clothes we could ware and bring in the back of Travis' dad's suburban and we were off with camera in hand! We were on our way to ride the sleigh through the elk herd in Jackson Hole. This is something we had not ever done together (4 Travis and I) and not since I was a little girl; it was much more expensive then when I was small but the kids didn't let out one peep of a complaint during the hour long (and very cold) sleigh ride. The temps. only reached about 12 degrees or so in Jackson Hole and still the kids were so excited and enjoyed themselves tremendously. Our lunch was frozen and it started to snow on the way home, the roads were not great and we all did not get much sleep the night before and it was still worth it. Lol! We just enjoyed the beautiful snow and scenes on the drive and were able to talk to each other in the car. Ok, so I am a little emotional over this one; it is something I remember doing from when I was a little girl and I really enjoyed getting out with my whole family and doing something together. I had a great time! Later, Amy

big things
So I will apoligize to my hubby for not getting this up sooner, but he still loves me! Travis' birthday was last Friday! I know huh! I sent him flowers at his work and Eric and I got up early (to early for me, lol) and fixed him breakfast in bed. Eric put the coffee in the filter and water in the the pot and turned it on, he stirred the eggs (with a small burn, oops), he made and buttered the toast and I cooked the sausage. Eric and Travis sat and talked and ate breakfast together. It was so precious. Also a big note, I am very proud of my hubby, Travis quit smoking this year and so far so good! He started with Chantix to help and is doing very well. We also started a diet together and are losing weight as a couple. I am currently kicking his butt at 5 pounds but he is close at 4 pounds. So I am living it up before he catches up and bypasses me again; we are only 3 weeks into our diet. Poor Travis making such huge changes all at once! I have never been so proud of him though and he is doing really well. Later, Amy

aghhhhhhhh
Okay so I have been soooo busy and not had a ton of time to post. I took pics of my bathroom downstairs all framed in; i'm so excited and cant wait to get it all going and finished, but I left my camera at my house and in this wonderful weather, about a foot of snow today, I will not drive home and back to put pics in. Sorry! I also took a new position at work and am doing some coaching, most of the time my schedule will stay the same the icky tues./wed. off from 9am to 2pm but this weekend I worked 8 hrs a day and I am just not used to it. I admire Travis all the more for working full time and being on call after hours. He is so great to support our family but with Eric's medical bills rising all the time I felt if given the opertunity I should work the extra hours. I survived but I dont know if my house did after having both boys in the care of Travis for the whole weekend and all day! My living room looks like a tornado struck it. Lol! Travis took Eric and Trevor swimming yesterday and they both loved it; they were swimming for two hours! Eric's poor face was so dry from all that time in the water with his eczema but he didnt care. Trevor is still a little scared of the water and not quite ready to swim but everytime he says he went swimming he moves his little arms like he will just swim away right there. It is very cute. It is wonderful to be married to a man who will spend so much time caring for his children. We are also very proud of Lacey; she is done with school and graduated already! She will still walk with her class in the spring but is just working for now and thinking about getting a second job to keep her busy when she would have been in school. She is such a dedicated and hard worker at everything she does and we could not ask for a better daughter. Travis is just bursting at the seams knowing his little girl has finished this huge acomplishment in her life; I have never seem a man more proud. We still dont see her a lot because she works most nights at McDonalds as a trainer for them and if off during the day when we work. I guess I had better wrap it up for now I will try to get pics up for tomarrow. Later, Amy

I am still alive
These photos prove my point; this is what happens when I'm at work and Travis is in CHARGE! Who is with me when I say why can't I kick back and relax on my day off, because I have to get up and take Eric to school and clean house and do laundry and cook dinner, MEN!
It is shocking since I have been very bad about posting but I have a bit of time today and thought I would give an update. We are still unpacking and I haven't figured out how to get Travis to put up the closet rods in the kids room and once I get that up it will take care of most of my clutter upstairs (not all of it!) It also will not feel like home until all my photos are put up; we have a very nice plaque with our last name on it hanging in the living room (made by my good friend Jenni) and two clocks up but other than that we haven't hung any pictures. I miss my photos and seeing my family in every room even when they are gone. I do have my work space set up and it is very nice to have an office to myself but also very quite. I have had some problems with my internet and still dont have my satilite service moved to the new address but all in all I would say the move was pretty smooth. I have some pictures of my back yard but they are hard to see so I will have to get some new ones. The boys are loving it; they have never had soooooo much room to move around in.

frosty days
hi
I have been so busy! We finally closed on our new house last Wednesday and have been packing and unpacking ever since. I still have unpacking to do yet and probably will for a while which will drive me crazy. We have started preparing for the remodel downstairs already and I'm very excited! The downstairs basement is unfinished all but 1 bedroom so we are doing a huge family room where our tv will live eventually and another bathroom. We have started to get things together for the bathroom already with some money from Travis' work from doing the whole T.O.W.E.D program. I am very excited to have a big fenced in back yard for the kids and though it needs some grass back there they will love it.
This it the choke cherry tree in our front yard and the boys on our steps going to our front door, the site is having issues loading the pics this morning so I will have to come back later since I have work this morning. Later, Amy

So I have been awful about posting lately. We are still working to close on our new house so we are packing our old house and we hope to have some where to move! Our landlord has our house rented so he is waiting for us to be out by the 15th. Eric is back in school and doing well. Trevor is busy at Grandma Margaret's house. He stayed overnight on Saturday and came back home on Sunday. We are all just keeping busy, Travis is hoping this storm doesnt hit too hard so we can get moved if we ever close on the house! Lol! Well, I have a million things to do. Later, Amy
