ex husbands

So I guess I have a stalker so I will be careful what I say about my children or certain other people's children. So anyone that has been divorced knows what I am talking about and thank goodness I don't have to deal with mine(ex). My wonderful husband has adopted my son so his dad is out of the picture but other people are having issues with their ex stalking her friends blogs to try and get dirt on her. It won't happen here because she is a wonderful mother to all of her children! I could never say something that the courts would consider bad. That is all I have to say about crazy ex-husbands and thank the world for second chances and wonderful husbands now to help support the women made crazy by the ex-husband!

Pumpkin Patch fun!

So we had soooo much fun Saturday even though we were really busy. Travis won't even leave the house today he just wants to rest before work tomarrow but we took the kids to the pumpkin patch and got more than just pumpkins. We walked through a corn maze answering questions about agriculture to pick the right path the get out, we fed farm animals corn stalks, we got our faces painted, made bird feeders and picked out our perfect little pumpkins. They didn't have great pumpkins here so I was bummed when we first pulled in but we had so much fun I let the kids pick out pumpkins as long as they weren't green! I'm sure it's the cold weather and frost affecting the color but they were a little sad and kind of expensive for pumpkins. We also had my friend Jenni do family pictures in the morning, you can have a preview at jjhphotography.blogspot.com and they are listed under Jones' She does an amazing job and of course we got to hold the twins while we were at her house and Eric and Cameron finally got to play with each other for a little while.

Halloween party!

Hi, its been a busy week and I think its only going to get crazier with the holidays so close! We had a fun Hallween party this week, kid free, with our Lions Club here in Chubbuck. I managed to avoid having my picture taken as a construction worker! Travis went as a farmer (I know it needed explaining right!) and we had a ton of fun. My Mom and Dad and Travis' Dad and Stepmom were also there. They were so fun and I really enjoyed myself. It made for a later night than usual in the middle of the week but it was worth it. My mom just had a vest and funny thing like a bat and refused to do the bat wings, my dad went as a hunter, shock, shock since that is what he does all fall but we thought we were lucky to get him to go at all since he is such a crab. Denny went as a fishing pole with a fish on and Shirley was a woopie cushion, we we all thought was soooooo funny and Travis wouldn't stop calling her an old fart! Lol! I will try get back on Sunday as I know tomarrow will be too hectic. Later, Amy

Just a crying day!

So I was just looking at my friend Jenni's blog today and thought I would post really quick. Eric today had an accident at school and the school secretary was so mean to me when she called. I'm sure I just took it personal because I dont feel like people understand Eric and I was at work in the middle of a phone call with someone else yelling at me over their tv! Some days I just want to wrap him away from all the world so he doesnt get hurt and other days I just want to throw him out into the world so I have some time to myself without all the crazyness that comes with ADHD. I am really struggling with his treatment options right now after a horrible time with play therapy I gave up on counseling but now I'm now so sure it was the right thing for him. It's hard to continue a treatment when you dont feel like you see any improvement in your home life.

Updates!

So I loved this Japanese style drumming on the float next to us in the parade. They were wonderful and what tradition they took do that kind of music. Ok, so my friend Jenni has been helping me a little with my blog; thank goodness for that! She personalized my colors for me and I will have to learn to do that, I really like it and I am working on getting a family picture up by my header, but it will have to wait a bit longer since today is hectic. She also put my slide show on the side so it will not go into the archives ( and I thought I was doing good just to figure out how to add a slide show!) Travis and my dad went hunting this morning so it is just mom and me with my boys. They must know its the weekend because they are having a hard time sitting still today. We have a ton of errands to do still and its after noon already. We made homemade scones today with honey butter for a breakfast snack and they were a delious treat! I'm sure I don't need to eat anything fried for breakfast but today I will make an exception, lol. I am going back to my original schedule at work, only a week at nights and I think it really threw everyone for a loop! It almost wasn't worth changing for just a week but everyone will be glad to know when I am working again. Well, I have to go and protect my youngest from the oldest so I had better go before someone is dead! I love my children soooooooooo much! I hope everyone has a good weekend, Later, Amy

Parade!

Ok, so we are not the traditional parade watchers, but we love to go and ride with Travis while he drives a float in the parade. Yesterday was the Homecoming parade for Idado State University and we bought tons of candy and still didnt have enough to last till the end of the parade. Trevor was so cute throwing out candy but not very good at it; we picked up a lot of candy off the step of the truck at the end of the parade. Eric rode in the sleeper of the truck with the door opened and watched everyone as we drove by. I admire Travis the more I go with him for all the hard work he does to keep everyone safe. It is an enormous truck and people were in the street and we were driving people little girls while doing jumps on the back of the truck so that would be nerve wracking to me but he is always calm and careful. It was so crazy there were two little kids hurt by other floats that day! We have tons of fun even though Travis is working, lol.

Busy!

So I finally made it to Blackfoot yesterday to see my friend Jenni and her kids; her twins are a month old and I barely made it down to see them! They are so adorable, as are all of her children, and so tiny still! Trevor loved playing with her sons, Gabe and Austin while we visited and we braved going out to lunch with all of the kids! It is hard to find a table to seat 2 car seats, 2 high chairs, 3 adults and 1 small, but very active, Austin. I had so much fun and was so sad to have leave to go to work last night. It is something we need to do again soon with the two oldest out of school so they can play. I love being able to visit with her and our kids even get along. I just thought I would post these photos up quickly haven't been able to do much with them but edit them so far and Trevor is not in the waiting mood today. Later, Amy

Hi, I just thought I would put up an adorable photo of Trevor in my shoes this morning! I don't know how he can walk in shoes that are soooooo.... big for him but he does. He is still in his p.j.'s so I will ask you to look past that but he is still sooo....dang cute! We are hanging out with Grandma Margaret today on her birthday before I have to go to work.

I had to spend 15 minutes scrapping the snow and ice off my car this morning before I could take Eric to school since I let it sit all weekend while Travis drove me around. I have to head off since I have to get stuff ready for work but I hope everyone enjoys the week! Later, Amy

So here is the snow picture I promised! This is my mom's rose bush! It is so pretty though, even for all the cold that comes with the snow. It will warm up again before Halloween but the snow keeps Travis and the other drivers very busy rescuing crazy drivers! He had four drivers out at once last night; that is a lot for a small town. It has been slow so far today but as it cools off tonight they will be back at it I'm sure. I am changing my work schedule temporarily to evenings so it will be crazy for a while but hopefully its only for 2 or 3 weeks. Later, Amy

So a very busy week for us! We went to the annual fish fry for the Chubbuck Lions Club and Travis and I helped cook some salmon. I thought he was very handsome in his apron! Eric got to go see a movie Wednesday and Travis was working late so it was just little Trevor and I; it was nice and relaxing. Travis took Friday off from work and spoiled the boys by taking them to Lave Hot Springs swimming and then out to lunch. I was a little jealous they got to spend more time with Travis than I had all week. Travis was at work most of Friday night so it was nice to spend some alone time Saturday with him. It was snowing like crazy Saturday but Denny and Shirley watched the boys so we could go to Idaho Falls. I was glad Travis is used to driving in that horrible weather and I didnt have to. We found some football Christmas ornaments for our tree this year; I know but I was out voted on what we got to put up (I live with all boys!) I will put ribbons on the footballs and make it girly still. Lol! We went to T.G.I. Fridays for a late lunch and came home to see our kids. We went home and made homemade clam chowder and had a friend and his son over as well as my parents. It was not a lazy weekend that is for sure. It snowed so much overnight we had to get up this morning and shovel the porch off so we could unbury the truck and then we came to my mom and dad's for some yummy breakfast. I have to get Eric off to church with a friend so I will come back to this later and try to get a snow picture up for you guys! Later, Amy

So my friend Jenni said I need more pictures, but I'm still new and working on it! She has a ton of photos on her blog! I will post one that I have been working on for my brothers T.J. and Adam since they became Godfathers this summer to little Anali! They make quite a pair! We hope nothing happens to her mother because these two men would have a mountain girl on their hands if it were up to them. Sorry so short but have to get home to meet Eric; he went to see a movie with a friend tonight. Later, Amy

Sunday, October 5, 2008

So yes it has been a while but not to long! We have done nothing all weekend and it is so nice to lay around and be lazy. Travis is taking a nap with Trevor and Eric and I are at my parents house tormenting them; like always. I want to take the kids swimming later today but I don't know if it will happen. We are just getting over the tail end of this cold and the weather has taken a turn for the cold itself. It is not a weekend to be out and about. Travis is predicting snow soon and I just keep telling him to stop saying such horrible things! He would know better than I would since he works outside. I may be changing my work schedule soon so I will work evenings while Travis works days; but we have done it before when Trevor was soooooo...... little. It won't be fun but hopefully is short term. We are all doing wonderful here and just enjoying a little time to relax and do nothing. Later, Amy
